Let me describe what I am hearing right now at 1:30 am: a large family allowing their children to run around screaming and playing, a man (who I do not know and is not in my tent) snoring like he is right beside me, a person blowing up their air mattress for added comfort, the REPEATED slamming of wooden doors to the bathroom. Don't stay here if you want a quiet getaway! Loud and compact.

We Had an amazing time here. It was my first time camping so i was scared to go to far but we wanted privacy and we had both. I went with my wife and 2 little girls we had a blast. I will definitely do it a gain an recommend friends to go here.

If you're looking for a quiet place to enjoy nature, this is not your campground. If you have 5 kids under the age of 12, then this is your place. Bring your screaming kids, boomboxes, power tools, whatever you want, really. There is no enforcement of quiet hours. My block in Brooklyn is honestly quieter.

Saying quiet time is strictly enforced is only half the battle. It was so loud there we could barely fall asleep or pretend we were in the country. We had people setting up camp at 11pm, music from all angles late into the night, a freakin' DIDGERIDOO, some sort of game that only requires cheering and yes, a drill. A lovely family was drilling planks of wood together to make benches at 7am. This was basically like sleeping in our Brooklyn apartment building if it had no interior walls.

It was a very pleasant stay for my family. We stayed there on a Saturday. The whole campground was full. I was a little skeptical due to some reviews but we enjoyed it thoroughly despite the crowd. The bathrooms were clean. We extended to Sunday and it was still nice with the campground being almost empty. There is a lot of fun stuff to do with Bear Mountain being so close.
